Butterflies

The Shamsa butterflies sculpture is one of the final showpieces in the Alif: Mobility Pavilion at the Dubai 2020 Expo.
I was tasked with distributing the butterflies in Houdini, then producing plans and a spreadsheet of measurements and instructions to assist with assembly. I automated the spreadsheet production in Houdini and learned a great deal about how you can use this VFX software to provide construction documents. Learned about coding with strings, to describe measurements of strings ;)
